Peace Lutheran Academy Sussex, Wisconsin

Overview

Peace Lutheran Academy offers preschool to assist and support parents in the education of their children, even in the earliest years. It’s school, but peek inside the classroom, and it might look like play.

The centers are intentional, developmentally appropriate activities, designed to teach subject areas—reading, writing, and arithmetic; history and geography; science, art and music—in the way kids learn: hands-on. Daily group lessons highlight monthly thematic units; concepts are taught through discovery and direct instruction. Activities encourage maturation of fine and gross motor control.

Growing bodies need snack-time, movement and rest. Growing minds need speaking and listening; imagination and discipline. Similarly, growing souls need catechesis, integrated throughout the day in Bible lessons, Scripture memory, and hymn singing.
