The wonder of it all—outside the classroom. Associated with thematic units, several field trips enrich knowledge and experience of the world, for social maturity, as well as for love of the neighbor. Our classes might visit a local fire department or farm. We could attend a live orchestra or head to the children’s theater for a play.
Books are important for reading development, but reading is also about the family and time for being together, learning, and guiding. “Take Home Books” are available from our classroom library for Mom and Dad to read to their child.
Families are invited to gather round, chatter, munch, and play together, too, throughout the year. A few events are Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad. The year-end Academy picnic brings all our students together for food, fun, and games.
